Time to go home

We have all had a fantastic time, but all good things must come to an end.

Friday 25th January 2008

Today the groups went caving, horse riding and canoeing. Everybody had a great time. In the evening we started to pack ready for the homeward journey tomorrow and then we all got ready for the disco. Lots of lovely pictures were taken today.

Thursday 24th January 2008

The three activities today were horse riding, mountain walking and Adventure. It was an absolutely beautiful day. The sun was shining with a blue sky. The wind was cold, but we were all warmly dressed. All groups had a lovely day. In the evening we had two challenges. The first was to see which dormitory could dress one of their members in the most clothes in fifteen minutes.Pembroke won they dressed Bradley in 65 items of clothing. The next challenge was to find as many items as they could in the house starting with each letter of the alphabet. They were told not to physically bring the things to the classroom but to write their names down on a piece of paper. again Pembroke won and so were the overall winners. We then spent the rest of the evening in the classroom writnig journals, playing games and drawing pictures. Then it was time for bed phew.

Mountain Walking Wednesday 23rd January 2008

Another group went up to the mountains today. They walked up through Red Gulley. It was quite steep with a stream running down. It was very windy and they had to have lunch in a tent all sitting on its edge. Coming down was quite slippery, but we all helped each other and not one person moaned all day.

Riding Wednesday 23rd January 2008

The first group of the week went riding today. They came back really excited. They had a fantastic day looking after and riding their pony for the day. There are some lovely photos of them. Sheryl ann fell off of her horse, but she was very brave and got back on. She was awarded a rosette for her bravery.

Mountain Walking Tuesday 22ndJanuary 2008

A group went mountain walking with Jan and Stuart today. They found it tough and some just kept laying on the ground saying they couldn't go any further, but they all made it in the end ......well done.

Girlie Night Wednesday 23rd January 2008

After the evening activity the girls and boys split to have a girls and boys night. The girls had a night of painting nails, doing their hair, trying out some make up and having a nice chat. It was a very relaxing time for us and was enjoyed by all.
